Rhys Mathews

Expert Geotechnical Engineer Committed to Delivering Practical and Efficient Solutions’

Rhys is a chartered (CPEng, NER) and accomplished Geotechnical with diverse experience in civil construction and geotechnical projects across Australia. He possesses expertise in geotechnical engineering principles and civil foundation construction, specializing in geotechnical investigation, design and analysis, piling, ground improvement, and ground support techniques.

My Journey

I graduated with Honours from the University of Adelaide, earning a double degree in Engineering and Geology. Over the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to work with some of Australia’s most respected engineering consultancies, including Menard Oceania and Golder Associates.

My professional experience spans a broad range of sectors—renewable energy, infrastructure, and mining—each presenting its own technical challenges and regulatory complexities. This cross-sector exposure has equipped me with a well-rounded understanding of ground engineering principles and an appreciation for the practical constraints unique to each industry.
